Banished to an isolated island, the magician Prospero plots revenge for a family betrayal. Prospero commands the spirit Ariel to wreck a passing ship so they will be washed ashore. Miranda, Prospero's daughter, encounters other humans for the first time in her memory. Soon everyone is caught up in a magical plot of betrayal, love, revenge and forgiveness - But can everyone find the freedom they are searching for?
